What should I eat while I get used to my new dentures?

You’ll probably need some time and practice to get used to eating with your new dentures. Today, our Surrey dentists recommend a few soft foods to help with the transition. 

Meal Planning

So, you’ve had your tooth extracted and you’ve received your new dentures. Now you’re on a diet of soft foods and liquids and need to find some suitable, nutritious and fast options to make delicious meals you will still enjoy.

Our go-to options include macaroni and cheese, soft-cooked tofu with noodles and veggies, scrambled eggs and avocado and lentil dal and rice.

Before your start the denture process, our dentists recommend filling your pantry with these foods:

  • Soft breads for dipping
  • Pasta and noodles
  • Meals that can be soft-cooked
  • Regular or baked beans
  • Eggs (anyway you like them)
  • Rice or risotto
